Yoga Nidra with Michelle Baker

with Michelle Baker at URU Yoga
Friday, August 23 6:00 pm - 7:15 pm

~ Intro to Yoga Nidra w/ Michelle Swan ~

Yoga Nidra, known as yogic sleep, is a lying down meditation and proactive conscious stillness practice that is intended to induce physical, mental, and emotional freedom from blocked energy, suppressed injury, trauma or disharmonious patterns stunting or damaging our health on all levels. It is said that an hour of Yoga Nidra can be as restorative as four hours of regular sleep.

We will begin with a lecture about key components to Yoga Nidra such as it's history, origin, the subtle body, chakra system, brain anatomy, neurological function, effects of trauma and suppression, physical body's pain threshold, the separation of spiritual or the mythology of the yoga of dreams, followed by the lying down practice of Yoga Nidra, the Yoga of dreams and sleep within somatic scanning. This practice trains us to check in instead of out, attending to all causes within us and liberating our relationship to separation or pain.

“I feel extremely blessed that I found and completed the teacher training at URU Yoga & Beyond. The co-owner and lead trainer, Rebecca Sathre, is loving, passionate, insightful, knowledgeable, and an incredible mentor. We were exposed to various styles of yoga and techniques by the numerous workshops and events that were offered during the training. In addition, participating in a weekly mentor class was very beneficial in developing and refining our yoga practice. Reiki Level 2 with Diane Ferguson

with Diane Roll Ferguson at URU Yoga - Gulf Breeze
Saturday, September 7 9:00 am - 3:30 pm

Saturday August 31, 2019, 9:00-3:30 at URU Gulf Breeze Treehouse

Max 5 students

Deposit $50 to reserve spot

Investment: $175

Deposit of $50 is required by Nov. 28th to reserve your space.

The emphasis of this Level II training will be the introduction to the first three Reiki symbols, encouraging students to deepen their personal practice and learn to practice on others. This course will include a Reiki II Attunement, techniques for hand placement, distance healing, energizing spaces, and creating a clearer connection with life force energy.

Reiki II Training certification is required to professionally practice on others. Reiki I certification is a prerequisite for this course.

The Reiki attunement is what makes Reiki unique to other forms of healing touch and energy work. This ceremony, called Reiju (Ray-joo) in Japanese, is performed by the Reiki Master and opens and expands the main energy channels of the student's body, allowing universal energy, also known as Qi/Chi/Ki, to flow more freely and deeply.

Because of this opening process, the attunement also does what Reiki is meant to do — clear blockages. As a result, this can create significant energy changes within the individual and many will undergo an intense period of self-growth. Often, innate intuition and other gifts are more easily accessed.

Diane Ferguson is an Usui Ryoho Reiki Level III Master Teacher who began her study of Reiki in 2014 and has been working with others in this healing modality since 2015. Diane believes that the power of Reiki is limitless and can be applied to nearly every facet of your life. Diane is also a yoga instructor, Certified Health Coach, retreat facilitator, and ordained Minister.

Move Chant Gong Sound Bath

with Amy Jinks at URU Yoga
Sunday, September 8 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

First, we’ll loosen up our bodies with movement. Then, we’ll loosen up our minds by chanting beautiful mantras. We will complete the experience with the healing vibrations of the gong.

The gong bath is an immersion in sacred and healing sound. Listeners typically experience a sense of connectedness and peace as the sound of the gong clears blockages and restores the free flow of vital energy throughout the body. With its ability to induce a spontaneous meditative state, the gong creates the space for the listener to expand one's awareness and higher consciousness. The Gong sound can be used to rebalance and tune the physical, emotional, and spiritual bodies.

Join Amy Jinks in a Kundalini experience where you will move, chant and vibrate!
