December Yoga Newsletter 2015

Reaching Your Pinnacle
December 2014
Greetings!

The end of the year is upon us. Did you set a resolution, a goal, or an intention at the start? Or did you allow the year to unfold on its own. No matter how the year began, there are endless possibilities to it’s conclusion.
Often in yoga, we move toward a pinnacle pose; the pose where all postures in vinyasa lead. We prepare our body and mind to reach this peak in class; it is the goal whether it is achieved or not.
As 2014 comes to a close, consider reaching your pinnacle. Prepare your movements, your words and actions, so that you may reach or get as close to your peak as you can. It is never too late to make your resolution, your goal or your intention a reality.

With love and gratitude,

7-9pm

Rivka and Mike iLL are seasoned cutting edge writers and performers who have collaborated with James Rado (HAIR) Chris and Tina of the Talking Heads, performed hundreds of shows internationally and shared the stage with Girl Talk, Mike Dillon, Scream Club and other underground artists.

Sponsored by the Puffin Foundation West, Are We Done Yet? is two person theatre show using (international) folk music and spiritual concepts from around the world to ask a question. As a species, can we be done killing for profit? By embracing the never-ending campaign toward joy, peace, justice and freedom we gain insight into the inexhaustible value of life.

Themes include health, sexuality, commitment, education, confusion, frustration, birth, death and psychic development. Combining music, ceremony and stand up philosophy to fearlessly honor the unique, sensual mysteries each of us is born to exemplify.

Tammy began her yoga journey in 1997 in Cincinnati, OH with a Jesuit nun. Little did she know how that experience would plant the seeds that would grow a future teacher. She completed her 200 hour certification through Dragonfly Yoga Studies. Tammy combines humor and humility in a gentle flowing class inviting people to access their own light-heartedness, and helps her students explore how poses feel within their bodies, not necessarily creating the picture perfect poses.
