Yoga reminds us to move with awareness to “the
edge”.
The edge is where you feel challenged but not in pain. When you hold a pose with your best effort, you reach a place of opportunity for clarity and ease.
Find the balance of Effort and Ease in your practice and life.
Moving without awareness past our edge can result in injury. It is important to listen and recognize where our edge lies. If we move to our edge with awareness in a yoga pose, our body may invite us to go a little deeper.
We play with the edge in our lives off the mat as well. If we take on too many responsibilities or too many commitments, it becomes necessary to pull back to take care of ourselves. But not moving to that point may lead to boredom, longing, or disappointment.
Moving with awareness to our edge in life can allow us the energy to turn our visions into creations. This is the point where life sweetly invites us to cross over the edge into our fullest potential.
With love and gratitude,
Rebecca Sathre, Chris Amador & the URU Crew

URU Teacher Training 2015/2016
Beginning Saturday, September 12
5:30pm
URU offers a local Pensacola Yoga Teacher Training. We are registered with Yoga Alliance at the 200 hour level. We start in September and end in May each year. The strength of the URU teacher training is that you have so much hands on teaching experience through mentorship and you will be able to teach yoga with confidence and grace when you graduate. Our training takes you through personal growth as well as growth in new and old relationships. You will gain a deeper understanding of yourself and you will find your voice as a teacher as well as a human being.
We will study asana, pranayama, meditation, philosophy, Thai Yoga Bodywork, mantra, mudras, anatomy and physiology and more. You will learn to teach beginner to advanced classes. You also have the opportunity to mentor and teach hot yoga or aerial yoga if that is where you are drawn. You will begin to see where you are naturally drawn as a teacher and you will also stretch that boundary to see what your capabilities are.
The URU Yoga Teacher Training is a peak pose vinyasa based teacher training with an emphasis on alignment. An URU class contains mantra, a theme, pranayama, vinyasa flow, alignment and meditation. You will be encouraged to find your authenticity as a teacher as well as a human being. You will be encouraged to engage fully into your teaching and life.
Teacher Training is a commitment. Please be ready to commit yourself fully to the training for yourself, the teachers, and the other teacher trainees..
The time commitment is 1 weekend a month for 9 months, plus 2 yoga classes a week, home study assignments and 2 karma practicum classes at the end of the month.
The financial commitment is $2400 or 3 payments of $900 (September 1st, December 1st, and March 1st)
We love sharing the love of teaching with you.
Please invite any friends that you think would be interested..

David attended his first yoga class in 2012 with his wife as a way to have something to do together. It quickly became a passion as it provided him with a different perspective with which to look at life. Shortly after discovering yoga, David began taking a Yin yoga class. It led to an opening, first of his body and then his mind and spirit. His work became to discover his True Self and to let it shine through. He attended yoga teacher training at Discovery Yoga in 2014 and is a certified Kripalu yoga teacher. David’s wish is to help others on their path of self discovery and to foster a safe environment for the development of community.
If you see David in the studio this month, remember to wish him a Happy Birthday!
