This week we invite you to explore a fun partner exercise! Partner Wide-Legged Folds Wide Legged Forward Folds, also known as Prasarita Padottanasana, offer numerous benefits, including: ???? Deep Stretch: This pose stretches the hamstrings, inner thighs, and groins, promoting flexibility and release of tension. ???? Energizing the Body: The inversion aspect of the pose encourages increased blood flow to the brain, revitalizing the body and mind. ???? Calming the Mind: By folding forward and focusing on the breath, you can cultivate a sense of calm, reducing stress and anxiety. Now, let’s bring in the fun and connection of a partner stretch! Here’s how you can do a Partner Wide Legged Fold: 1️⃣ Find a partner and stand facing each other with your feet wide apart, feet touching your partners feet, legs extended, and toes pointing skyward. 2️⃣ Hold hands, wrists, or forearms with your partner, maintaining a gentle grip and keeping your arms straight. 3️⃣ Inhale deeply, elongating your spine, and as you exhale, slowly fold forward from the hips, keeping your back straight. Your partner will gently pull you while leaning back. 4️⃣ PRO TIP: Create a tapping signal or a word for when you’ve reached your edge of folding! 5️⃣ Stay in the pose for a few breaths, enjoying the support and gentle assistance from your partner. Or you can flow back and forth with the breath… exhaling to fold and inhaling to pull your partner. Bhakti yoga is the path of loving devotion. Bhakti can look like dancing, singing, meditating, cooking, writing poetry, and so many other things… The best part is that you can make anything you do a Bhakti yoga practice by simply doing what you do with complete devotion to the Divine.
