This special candlelit class will start with gentle stretch and move to meditation inside the comfort of the silk hammock. It is accessible to all levels. There are a limited number of silks so please sign up and pre-pay to secure your cocoon. We will have a 1 hour Partner Yoga Session followed by dinner at Khon’s, one of our Downtown Restaurants. The yoga class is open to anyone: beginners or advanced practitioners. You do not need to bring a partner. We will interact with the class as a whole and spend some time one on one. After class, we will venture to the restaurant. The restaurant will have great specials for our class and seating blocked off to accomodate our group. The restaurant this month is Khon’s! They will be making two different sushi rolls just for you! The entire menu will also be available to you as well. We are trying to get the best specials possible to offer our students a well deserved great time and yummy food. Downtown URU plans to have this monthly. If you have a restaurant in mind and would like to request it for future events, please let us know. Check it out on Facebook A Yin Yoga Training: Deepening the Practice Saturday, October 14 8am-5pm URU Gulf Breeze Treehouse David Bryan will be guiding you in deepening your understanding of the Yin practice. We will discuss the philosophy and physiology behind Yin, talk about how it differs from a yang practice and the benefits, and practice coming into and guiding yin postures. This training is open to teachers and students, but participants will be expected to be familiar with the postures found on Bernie Clark’s website, www.yinyoga.com. We will use Yin Yoga as a tool in this exploration as well as some lecture/discussion. The focus will be on alignment, transitions in and out of the poses, as well as modifications to prevent injury and discomfort. Roughly 10-12 poses will be discussed including Warrior 1 and 2, lunges, Triangle, and Chair Pose. The workshop will end with a 60 minute yoga class. This workshop is beneficial for beginner students, seasoned yogis, and yoga instructors.
