This week we invite you to explore moving your spine in six directions. Welcome to our brief yoga tutorial where we’ll guide you through moving your spine in 6 directions. By incorporating these spinal movements into your yoga practice or fitness routine, you can experience improved flexibility, increased strength, enhanced posture, reduced back pain, and an overall sense of well-being. It is essential to perform these movements mindfully, respecting your body’s limits and avoiding any discomfort or pain. ❤ The following are the physical benefits of each of the mentioned spinal movements: Flexion (forward bending): Stretches the back muscles, hamstrings, and hips. Increases flexibility in the spine and posterior chain. Massages and stimulates the digestive organs. Relieves tension in the upper back and neck. Promotes relaxation and reduces stress. Extension (backward bending): Strengthens the back muscles and improves posture. Opens the chest and improves lung capacity. Stretches the front of the body, including the abdominal muscles and hip flexors. Increases spinal mobility and counteracts the effects of prolonged sitting. Stimulates the nervous system and boosts energy levels. Twists: Mobilizes and detoxifies the spine. Enhances spinal flexibility and range of motion. We will learn aerial basics on silks as well as a few tricks and conditioning moves!
